About Corryn Pettingill
I have dedicated my whole life to the craft of art. From a young age, I loved to draw and write things usually related to the macabre. I made my first acrylic painting in 2016, where I very slowly grew my skills. I graduated from Lewis & Clark College, majoring in Studio Art with a concentration in oil painting and English with a concentration in creative writing. My writing, reading, and painting have always been intertwined, as I find in the strong emotions Greek mythology can evoke terribly interesting. My college thesis revolved around Greek myths where women took revenge, and I have continued my research after graduation. Anger, sadness, and despair are just a few of the emotions I hope my artworks evoke, as I explore themes of female rage and a woman's experience throughout time.
